Basic Woodworking
This course introduces woodworking for the beginner woodworker. Explore the different species of wood and its charecteristics, some of the tools used to create a contoured edge. Learn simple joinery and building a project designed to increase general knowledge of woodworking. Sanding and finishing are also covered.

A beginning woodworking course, creating a decorative and functional hardwood cutting board to tackle the toughest of kitchen cutting needs.
Choose from a variety of types and features to create the cutting board you desire, for a long lasting kitchen accessory.

A simple yet elegant hardwood Steampunk Gear Box gives this piece a unique and distinct functional close that will surprise your friends. Although still considered a basic woodworking course, additional skills and more in depth tool knowledge and usage will be covered.

Joinery
The art of woodworking revolves around Joinery. From a simple edge to edge glue up of a wider panels, to using a router to create a Interlocking joints, and a wide variety of commonly used woodworking joinery will be covered.

Router Skills Training
One of the most used and versatile machines used in woodworking is the router. From simply forming an edge or creating a moulded contour for a frame, the router is indespensible. in getting the job done quickly and with consistant results. The router can be used in a router table, or hand held depending on the desired outcome. Proper understanding of this powerful tool is essential for your safety.

Furniture Refinishing
A refinishing project can breath new life into a beautiful piece of furniture, without the need for a build. Removing old finish, and prepping the surface for a new protective finish is what we will be covering in this course.

Wood Turning
Another useful tool in the Studio is the lathe. The lathe is used for creating bowls, spindles, finials and more. A unique skillset is needed to safely operate a lathe. The specialty tools used when turning are specific for wood turning. Be it a bowl or a lamp, this amazing machine can create some beautiful pieces, and only your imagination is required.

This simple but elegant hardwood bookcase is the beginning of understanding furniture making. DIY craftsmen enjoy the simplicity of the joinery, and the versatility or this concept can take your builds and designs to the next level of woodworking.

Hand Planes and Cabinet Scrapers
One of the most useful but overlooked tool in the shop. Hand planes can take much of the work out of heavy sanding. One of the best ways to get to near finish ready surfaces. Cabinet scrapers is a lost art for giving a smooth finish for tops or creating a moulded edge.
